High Efficiency Filters (MERV 14): This optional external deep pleated 95% media filter and required filter housing are available for optimum air filtration and to reduce potentially harmful airborne particles. If the optional filter is added, the standard filter operates as a prefilter. These filters can be vacuum cleaned on a regular basis. Because it is a secondary filter to the standard MERV 11 filter, you should replace it every 2–3 years. How often you need to replace your filter(s) will vary by application.
